I was very pleased with my recent experience at Hampton Ford-Hyundai.

After using the Black Book trade-in value estimator on their website (a handy feature), I received a call from Anna Jurta, the Internet Sales Coordinator, asking if she could be of any assistance. I told her the model, options and color choices I was looking for. They didn't have a suitable vehicle on their lot, so Anna said she would try to find me one. When I returned home that afternoon, there was an email awaiting me saying she had found the exact vehicle I had requested at a Massachusetts dealership.

I went to Hampton Ford-Hyundai the following day, and Anna came out to meet me and sat with me while Aaron Handy (my salesman) was finishing up with another customer, and while my trade-in was being evaluated.

Anna told me that the internet department was quite new to their dealership, and I think it is a great idea and essential in this day and age. When my husband and I buy new cars, we do all our research on the internet, so we know exactly what we want and can cut down on the actual time spent in the dealerships. Plus, since Hampton Ford-Hyundai did not have the vehicle I was looking for, I could have gone to any dealership and asked them to find the car I wanted, but I dealt with Hampton Ford-Hyundai solely because Anna emailed me right after receiving my trade-in value request. And Anna is the ideal person for the job?she was prompt, courteous, helpful, and all-in-all just a really nice person.

On the sales side, while Aaron was dealing with his other customer, he kept running over to make sure I was O.K. and to apologize for keeping me waiting (through no fault of his own). He had to drive a car around to the front of the building for the other customer, and actually ran to the car and back to me to save me a few extra seconds of waiting! I found Aaron to be extremely friendly and helpful?he made me feel like he was working for me, trying to get me the best deal.

Anna emailed me two days later to say that the dealership where my car had been located had sold the car, after agreeing to put it aside for me. At first I was quite frustrated as I had signed a deal for that particular car, but Anna and Aaron worked feverishly to locate another car for me, and Aaron called later that day to say they had found one in Connecticut. They had it driven up to their dealership the following day at no extra cost to me.

When I went to pick up my new car, I met with Gary Novakowski, the Finance Manager, and found him to be nice, efficient and helpful. He saved me a month's worth of registration fees by suggesting I wait a week to register my vehicle. I hadn't realized that you pay for the full month no matter what day of the month you register the vehicle on. The paperwork was all set up when I got there, so I only needed to sign a few forms (he explained each one clearly and succinctly), and then he took me back to Aaron who went over a few details about my new car. This was my third Tucson (I find you can't beat them for the price, operation and safety features, plus the new styling is really nice), so I knew my way around it, but Aaron showed me some of the new features which my 1995 and 1999 Tucsons hadn't had (I especially like the Navigation Package, which includes a built-in GPS and enhanced stereo system).

So, all-in-all, I was impressed with the service I received at Hampton Ford-Hyundai, and would like to thank Anna, Aaron and Gary for making it a fast and relatively painless process. I love my new car.

 I was looking at getting a new truck. So I went to the Ford website and used their application to built up a truck the way I wanted it built. I then had the option to request a quote from a local dealer. At first I had picked Portsmouth Ford. After several phone calls, I was still unable to get a quote for the truck. At this point I switched to Hampton Ford. I got a prompt response from Chris Lowry with a fair price.

I then asked about some trucks they had in stock and what their price would be. I asked for a test drive and Chris asked me when I wanted to come in. I said Friday, and it turns out that was his day off, but he was happy to come in just to let me test drive a truck. I liked the truck. After we left the dealer, I was talking to my girlfriend about the truck and comparing it to the Chevy. We both decided that we liked Chris and the dealer enough that we wanted to go with Ford.

I did a little more searching and found the truck I wanted at a near by dealer. AlthoughI could have driven there, I wanted to get it through Hampton Ford. Chris gave me a quote on the truck. I came in and got a quote on my trade in. I thought both were fair numbers. So we made the deal.

They had the truck ready for me in two days. This has to have been the easiest and most pleasant purchase I've made at a dealer. Chris never tried to push anything on me. He was always ready with an answer. He didn't try to fake things he didn't know. When I was closing the deal, they said they offered extended warranties but it was up to me. They said I could add it at any time. I pointed out that Hampton Ford offers a lifetime warranty on the drive train if you have all of your service done there. I figure that's good enough for me.

My 09 Sonata began having issues with the transmission 3 weeks after I bought the car. I read multiple reviews for the car and it appears the issue I was having was quite common. I brought my car to Hyundai since it's still under warranty. They tried a few simple fixes but were not able to resolve the issue. At this point they are replacing the entire transmission. I'm very happy with their service and them being a brand who honors their warranties.

He listened intently, recommended a fantastic inexpensive used car, spent time, with Mel's assistance, and much effort resolving credit issues and, thus, my son drove home with, what we considered to be the best 2009 Hyundai Sonata on the lot. Chris LowryRecently, we visited Hampton Ford and were greeted by youg Chris Lowry, who proved to be a breath of fresh air. Unlike many of his sales brethren, Chris was friendly, courteous and helpful. He was very knowledgable about the product and and approached his work without the bluster and attitude we've come to expect from sales people. If I were in the car business, this is just the kind of guy I'd want on my sales floor. Unfortunately, we were unable to come to an agreement on a deal. Because we were dealing on a 2011 F150 (0% is a priority with us)that was on another dealer's lot and was not exactly what we wanted, pricing needed to be more attractive than normal. After leaving the dealership, I called Brian Hovelle, the General Manager, to tell him how impressed we were with Chris. Brian offered to revisit the quote and revised his offer. By then we'd decided to wait for 0% on the 2012's,when we'd have a better choice of models. Despite the fact that we left without a new truck, our experience remained positive because of Chris and Brian. When we are ready to do this again, we will return to Chris and try again. If you hate vehicle shopping as much a we do, stop in and talk to Chris.
